Temperatures will remain above normal for the next four weeks. At the same time, precipitation amounts will be excessive across the country between January 4 and February 1, according to estimates by the National Meteorological Administration.
Week 04.01.2021 – 11.01.2021
Temperatures will be higher than those of this period, in all regions, with a more pronounced positive thermal deviation in the southeast. It will rain heavily throughout the country, but especially in the mountainous and sub-mountainous areas of the southern half of the country.
Week 11.01.2021 – 18.01.2021
Average air temperatures will be close to normal for this range, nationally, possibly slightly higher in the Southeast. Rainfall will be excessive in all regions, but especially in the northern half of the country.
Week 18.01.2021 – 25.01.2021
Average air temperatures will be slightly higher than normal for this week, throughout Romania. The estimated precipitation regime for this period will generally be close to normal for this interval, possibly slightly higher in the northwest.
Week 25.01.2021 – 01.02.2021
Average thermal values will generally be around normal for this range, possibly slightly higher in southern regions. Precipitation amounts can be excessive throughout the country, but especially in the mountainous areas of the west of the country.
