A young Romanian woman is being investigated for fraud in Spain, after she tricked a 93-year-old man into changing his will in his favor and gave him approximately 200,000 euros, money he had in a bank account.

The woman convinced him to make her a beneficiary of the will after he told her that he had made her pregnant, according to El Comercio.

The woman investigated met the old man in a park in Gijón and little by little she gained his trust, after which she began to visit him frequently. She was detained by agents of the National Police when she was about to withdraw a large sum of money from the nonagenarian’s account.

The complaint presented to the court was made by a niece of the old man, after verifying that significant amounts had been withdrawn from the bank account. Later it was learned that the Romanian woman convinced him to make her, by will, the heir to the house.

According to the cited source, the Romanian woman is also being investigated for theft, after the family discovered that several jewels and money had disappeared from the old man’s house. The Romanian woman has been investigated in the past for other similar incidents.
