After a 19-year marriage, the artist decided to remarry. Seven years ago Alina, who is 30 years younger, said “yes” and here they are together now.
The idea of being loved unconditionally helped him through his entire recovery, after he came to the brink of death in 2015 following a stroke.
Although many of the acquaintances did not believe that the relationship would last in time due to the great age difference, the two are together and feel happy.

And when you meet a person like that, they have another quality, that he loves you unconditionally, then you have to be stupid to leave this side, ”said Cotabiță, standing with his wife on the Romanian coast.

In September 2016 they were married civilly, in great secrecy, and the wedding took place on October 9, with their groomsmen Delia and her husband.
The artist was also married, for 19 years, to Ioana Nagy, an Italian language teacher, with whom he has three daughters: Aela, Eliza and Milena. Gabi and Ioana divorced in 1997. Cotabiţă’s eldest daughter, Aela, is 39, and twins Eliza and Milena are 32, according to viva.ro
