As of today, Robert Negoiță is no longer Mayor of Sector 3 in Bucharest. The Prefect of the Capital, Gheorghe Cojanu, signed the order formally declaring this situation.
The announcement was made by USR City Councilor Ana Ciceală.
“Robert Negoiță lost his term as mayor. The prefect of Bucharest has just formally verified this. Congratulations to USR Sector 3 colleagues Andrei Stan, Matei Eugen and Teodora Stoian for last week’s legal steps towards the prefect! “ – Ciceală wrote on Facebook.
Negoiță lost his term as mayor because he is now part of another political party, different from the one on whose list he was elected mayor.
“The legal termination on August 19, 2020 of the mandate of the mayor of Sector 3 Bucharest of Robert Sorin Negoiță is observed, considering the admission of his candidacy in the elections of September 27, 2020 for the position of mayor of Sector 3 of another party than the one on whose lists he ran and was elected mayor in the 2016 local elections“, Shown in the order signed by Gheorghe Cojanu.
Currently, Robert Negoiță is running on behalf of the 2020 Alliance, made up of the Pro Romania party and the Bucharest 2020 Party.
