The Ministry of Health presented at the government meeting on Thursday a proposed ordinance, in first reading, which provides for the employment in the medical system of 200 young people who have completed their residency.

Secretary of State Raed Arafat said that the ordinance refers to young people who have already completed their residency.

“We have already proposed the first 200, the specialties we are targeting are ATI, Emergencies, Pneumology, Infectious Diseases, Epidemiology and Radiology, to see if there is demand, then we propose an additional one,” said Raed Arafat at the beginning of the meeting of Government.

He specified that the first 200 young people will be employed at the Gerota Hospital, from where they will be distributed by the Department of Emergency Situations, writes Mediafax.

“At the end of the period, which can last about 6 months, they will have the opportunity to choose the vacancies where they want to go, without competition. This will be the way we will attract the doctors who finished residency, ”Raed Arafat also said.

According to him, the authorities are also considering increasing the ventilation capacity at the level of the Emergency Reception Units, in order to be able to attend to the patients who arrive here until they are taken over in ATI.
