Border guards from the Coast Guard found a luxury car in Constance, worth one million lei, as part of an action to prevent and combat international traffic in stolen cars, according to Agerpres.

According to a statement from the Coast Guard, after specific controls, it was found that the vehicle was classified as property wanted for confiscation, an alert introduced by the German authorities.

The car belonged to a 38-year-old Romanian citizen, a resident of Tulcea County, who said he bought it without knowing it was stolen.
A team of the Local Police was also present at the scene, which applied a sanction for an illegal parking infraction.
The car, worth approximately 1,000,000 lei, was not available at the Coast Guard headquarters, and border police officers are conducting investigations under the guise of the commission of the crime of cover-up, and once completed, the necessary legal measures will be ordered.
