The draft stipulates that all service pensions, both those of Civil Aviation retirees, former secretaries (court assistants and prosecutors), former parliamentarians, pensions of former diplomats and their descendants, pensions of former employees of the Court of Accounts, former pensions Parliamentarians and military pensions will no longer be updated in 2021 with the inflation rate.
However, the bill does not include references to former magistrates.
We reproduce in full the article that regulates the non-indexation of service pensions with the inflation rate:
Art. VIII – (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of art. 42 ^ 5 of Law No. 223/2007 on the Statute of professional navigating civil aeronautical personnel of Romanian civil aviation, with subsequent modifications and completions, in 2021 the service pensions established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of par. (10) in art. 68 ^ 5 of Law No. 567/2004 on the statute specialized auxiliary staff of courts and prosecutors In addition to these and the personnel working at the National Institute of Forensic Expertise, with subsequent modifications and terminations, in 2021 the service pensions established in the law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(3) Notwithstanding the provisions of par. (5) in art. 73 ^ 1 of Law No. 7/2006 on the statute parliamentary official, with subsequent modifications and completions, in 2021 the service pensions established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(4) Notwithstanding the provisions of par. (5) in art. 6 of Law No. 216/2015 on the granting of the service pension members of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps of Romania, with subsequent terminations, in 2021 the service pensions and survivors pensions established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(5) Notwithstanding the provisions of par. (10) in art. 51 of Law no. 94/1992 on organization and operation The Court of Accounts, republished, with subsequent modifications and terminations, in 2021 the service pensions established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(6) Notwithstanding the provisions of par. (6) in art. 49 of Law No. 96/2006 at Statute of deputies and senators, reissued, with subsequent terminations, in 2021 the old-age allowances established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
(7) Notwithstanding the provisions of art. 59 of Law No. 223/2015 on state military pensions, with subsequent modifications and terminations, in 2021 the state military pensions established by law are not updated with the average annual inflation rate.
The latest statistics on special pensions published on the website of the National House of Public Pensions (CNPP) are from October.
