The Ministry of Health is preparing the commissioning of 280 new beds in the intensive care units of hospitals. The new places would be installed and operational in a period of between 7 and 21 days, according to the Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru.
“Today (Wednesday – n.red.) We introduce another 24 hospitals in order 555/2020, in total or only with a part of ATI, following in 7 to 21 days to put into operation 280 intensive care beds. After the evaluation of each space, by the ISU state sanitary inspection teams and those of the ANMDR, we will carry out and evaluate the equipment, necessary personnel to be able to put these 280 beds into operation in periods ranging between 7 and 21 days . “, Declared the Minister of Health at the beginning of the Government meeting on Wednesday night.
Nelu Tătaru said that at the end of the week there will be a first report with the hospitals and their intensive care units that have been reviewed.
Ludovic Orban, Prime Minister of Romania: “Regarding the comprehensive verifications that we have started, I ask you to complete all these verifications and these should be followed by a joint report with DSU, so that we can get an idea of the resources needed to be able to to finance all the repair and modernization works and also the plan of measures to comply with current regulations on facilities ”.
Nelu Tătaru: “Each health unit reviewed in intensive care also receives a plan of measures, compliance, and at the end of the week we have a first report with the units that have been reviewed.”
