The government decided at the meeting on Wednesday to extend, until June 30, 2021, the subsidy of 50% of the salary of people over 50 years old and the unemployed between 16 and 29 years old who lost their jobs due to the state of emergency and alertness. At the same time, 35% of the salary of day laborers and 41.5% of the salary of seasonal workers will continue to be granted.

Following the decision to extend the technical strike and flexible working hours, the Government today decided to extend other active measures, until June 30, 2021:

-50% of the employee’s salary, but not more than 2,500 lei for the employment, for an indefinite period, full time, of people over 50 years of age whose labor relations have ceased during the state of emergency or alert, from reasons not attributable to they, of young people between 16 and 29 years old registered as unemployed or of Romanian citizens belonging to the same age categories, who were terminated from employment for reasons not attributable to them;

-35% of the remuneration for working hours granted to day laborers, for a period of 3 months, at the choice of the beneficiary of the works;

-41.5% of the salary corresponding to the days worked for a work period of 8 hours per day, but not more than 41.5% of the average gross profit, for seasonal employees.

Additionally, paid days off will be provided to parents during online classes. Parents will benefit, until the end of the 2020-2021 school year, from days off paid with 75% of the gross salary, but no more than 75% of the average gross salary ”, shows a statement from the Minister of Labor, Raluca Turcan .
