The best electricity offers nationwide. DO NOT choose universal service offers (II)

[ad_1]

Because it is important. Context

As of January 1, 2021, the electricity market will be liberalized, and the approximately six million Romanians who still receive electricity at prices regulated by the state should know that these prices, which they now pay, will no longer be valid from from 31. December.

These customers have two options, and the first thing to say is that no one will be without power in any situation.

The first is to choose another supplier with a competitive offer, or to choose another, competitive offer from the same supplier that you are now – supplier of last resort (FUI), that is, Electrica, Enel, CEZ and E. en

The second is to do nothing, in which case, after January 1, they will also pay the electricity to the current supplier (FUI), but based on a new tariff, Universal Service. In this case, you can change your supplier or supply contract at any time as of January 1. As I wrote the other day, the universal service prices that the six million domestic customers will pay if they do nothing, are much higher, in some cases by more than 25% compared to current regulated rates, which is a plus. . and 11 lei for a monthly bill of 100 kWh.

However, there is the option, if people do not want to switch suppliers, to accept a competitive market offer from the same supplier. These offers, even if they have a higher price than those regulated now (it was inevitable) are better than the prices of the universal service communicated by the providers and, especially if you also have a high consumption, the savings can be significant.

About the competitive offers of the current big providers (Enel, Electrica, E.On, CEZ) and the comparison with the prices of the universal service I wrote here:

You also have the option of choosing a new provider, other than one of the big ones. The advantage you have is that, in many cases, you get a better price even than that of the large providers. Remember that changing providers is a very simple process (send an email since you want to accept the offer and that’s it) and it’s free. Also, don’t forget that you can change providers at any time, within 21 days.

We made a list of the five best deals in the country. Here they

The fifth best offer comes from ICCO Energ, a Romanian company based in Brasov. The company offers an active energy price of 0.267 lei / kWh and the offer is intended for all areas of the country. To compare and choose the Bucharest area, the price of the universal service charged by Enel in this area is 0.34 lei, only for the active energy component, the only fact on the bill that is subject to deregulation, all other components ( tariff for transport, distribution, green certificates, cogeneration tax, special taxes, VAT) still regulated by ANRE and not negotiable.

The offer is for a one-year contract.

The fourth best offer It comes from Nova Power and Gas, part of the E-Infra group, also a Romanian supplier. The company offers, nationwide, an active energy price of 0.255 lei / kWh, unique for all areas of the network in Romania, for a one-year contract signed. The price is fixed for the duration of the contract.

The third best offer comes from Restart Energy One, another Romanian supplier. Also aimed at domestic customers throughout the country, the offer has an active energy price of 0.250 lei / KWh, for a one-year contract, during which time the price does not change. But beware: this price is only valid for an annual consumption of 1,000 kWh, the consumption that exceeds this level being billed at a price of 0.285 lei / kWh.

Second best offer is Hidroelectrica, the largest electricity producer in Romania, which has also entered the field of electricity supply for domestic customers. The offer is also valid for all areas of the country, and refers to a supply contract signed for one year. The price of active energy is 0.245 lei / kWh for the first half of 2021, after which, for the second half, the price reaches 0.25 lei / kWh.

The best offer The one that appears in the ANRE competitive offers comparator is that of AIK Energy, which comes with a price of only 0.228 lei / kWh, the price of active energy. We do not want to influence your choice in any way, but we think you need to know more about this offer. First of all, although it appears in the ANRE comparator for all areas of the country’s network, it is understood that it is only available for the Muntenia area (Bucharest, Ilfov, Giurgiu). AIK Energy is the former Valahia Gaz, which was, in the past, one of the largest gas importers in Romania. The company was also very aggressive in its offers to domestic gas consumers, but in November it announced to its customers that it could no longer supply them with gas and they were moved to another supplier, as a last resort, Premier Energy. In the electricity market, another company in the AIK group is having problems. More precisely, AIK Energy Ltd. appears with a debt of about 693,000 lei with Transelectrica, in the balance market collection account, for which the company did not pay the invoices related to the imbalances produced in the market on time.
