A 13-year-old boy died after the car he was traveling in was involved in a car accident on Tuesday around 4:10 p.m. on Gherghiței Street in Bucharest. At the same time, another, 11 years old, was injured and taken to hospital.
“The driver of a car, a 42-year-old woman, who was traveling along Gherghiţei street from the Colentina highway to the A3, when she arrived near the building with the number 23, entered the opposite direction and collided with another vehicle, driven by a 46-year-old man, who was moving in the opposite direction to traffic, ”reports the Capital Highway Brigade.
After the impact, a 13-year-old boy died, a passenger in the first car. The paramedics who arrived at the scene carried out resuscitation maneuvers, but the minor did not survive.
At the same time, another boy, 11 years old, in the same car, was slightly injured and was transferred to the Grigore Alexandrescu Hospital in the Capital.
Both drivers were tested with the breathalyzer, the result was 0.
Road traffic is restricted on Gherghiţei Street, the direction from A3 to Colentina Highway.
Investigations are carried out to establish exactly the causes and conditions of the traffic accident.
