“Cluj firefighters intervened last night to evacuate the accumulated water in several basements located on Mamaia and Dragalina streets in Cluj-Napoca, as a result of the breakage of a main drinking water supply pipe.
The first request for intervention from the firefighters arrived around 9:30 p.m., and when the firefighters arrived at the scene, the water flooded the road on Mamaia and Dragalina streets, as well as an underground parking lot, where 5 cars, three houses were parked four spaces. The firefighters’ intervention was supported by two tanker trucks, equipped with motor pumps, from the utility provider. A team of utility providers is also working to repair the bus and resume drinking water supplies in the area.
The most significant damage occurred in the underground car park, where a total of five cars were flooded. Property of three houses, in which the water had a depth of about 15 cm, were also destroyed, ”said ISU representatives.
