Călin Popescu Tăriceanu announces that, together with three other ALDE parliamentarians, he submitted to the Senate an official request for the hearing of the heads of SRI and SIE, but also of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Interior, about the accusations launched by Klaus Iohannis v. The undersigned Călin Popescu-Tăriceanu, senator elected in constituency no. 42 Bucharest, Mihai Ruse, elected senator in constituency no. 09 Brăila, Ion Hadârcă, elected senator in constituency no. 39 Vaslui, Ioan Simionca, senator elected in constituency no. 06 Bistriţa-Năsăud, noting with concern the statements by the President of Romania on a possible agreement between a Romanian parliamentary party and a foreign power for the alienation of a significant part of Romanian territory, we hereby request you to submit to the approval of the Permanent Joint Office of the Romanian Parliament the following:
- To listen to the management of the two national intelligence services, the Foreign Intelligence Service and the Romanian Intelligence Service, within the control and supervision commissions of the intelligence services, in order to find out what information and evidence the President of Romania or the Supreme National Defense Council, information and evidence that could be the basis of this serious accusation made by the President of Romania.
- The audience in the foreign policy commissions met by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to find out if the information and documents provided by this ministry to the President of Romania were the basis of this serious accusation.
- The hearing in the defense and public order commissions met by the Minister of National Defense to find out what are the immediate measures that the ministry has taken to counter the danger identified by the President of Romania. We are referring here to increasing alertness and mobilization of the armed forces and implementing the plan to mobilize the economy and the population. Furthermore, taking into account the fact that the Ministry of National Defense is composed of the Directorate of Military Intelligence, it is necessary to specify whether they provided the President of Romania or CSAT with information that may be the basis of the serious accusations made by the President of Romania .
- The hearing within the defense and public order commissions of the Minister of the Interior gathered to know the measures taken by the structures subordinate to the ministry to counter the danger indicated by the President of Romania.
- The invitation before the assembled plenary of the Parliament of the President of Romania to present the evidence or information that was the basis of this accusation and the measures that the President of Romania took to eliminate the danger he pointed out.
