Prosecutors from the Bihor Court Attached Prosecutor’s Office are trying to shed light on a bloody crime committed in the village of Vaida, Roşiori commune. A 60-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man were found dead in the woman’s home, both with a cut on the neck and stab marks on the body, investigators had two leads: a murder followed by suicide or a double. murder, the Ebihorean announced. in.
According to a report sent by prosecutors on Wednesday, the two victims were found on December 18, 2020 and the investigation is ongoing “in rem,” that is, without establishing a suspect in question.
“Certain aspects need to be clarified, hearings are being held, more evidence is being sought,” sources from the investigation told BIHOREANUL, explaining that two clues are taken into account: that the man killed his host, then he removed the life, respectively, that the two were killed by a third person.

The locals in Vaida are still shocked by what happened. The woman, Ildiko, had separated from her ex-partner, who lives in Oradea, and the two children are at home. “They came every Sunday to visit her, otherwise no one would come to see her, only Laszlo, the one with her,” says one of the villagers.
The man also lived alone, but in the neighboring town of Roşiori. Everyone knew that he was always in town riding his bike and helping the locals in their homes. His wife had left him for some time due to his drinking problems and he moved to Hungary. She only came to see him during the holidays. After breaking up with her, Laszlo became friends with Ildiko, whom he turned to almost daily. “They had been together for a long time and argued that they both liked drinking,” says a source.
The old man was last seen on December 15. He had taken a bottle of brandy from a villager and drank first with a neighbor, then rode his bike and set off for Vaida, stopping at his friend’s house. “He left his bike in front of the gate and after 3 days it was still there,” explained the villager.
There he found the bicycle and Laszlo’s wife, who, worried that the man would not return home after 3 days, called the police station and then started looking for him, stopping at Ildiko’s house. The woman entered the patio, and from there to the house, finding her, says the man, on foot, in a room of the woman’s paternal house, where she rarely entered, as she preferred to stay in the summer kitchen, where … put a bed and a stove, the only room that heated during the winter.
“They were naked, naked, with their necks cut and many bites. That’s how they were found, after which he called the police,” added the local.
Crime is the main topic of discussion in all corners of the commune, because people do not really believe in the hypothesis of crime followed by suicide. “We are talking about a 73-year-old man. Maybe he cut the neck of the woman, who was small and weak because the wind blew her. But committing suicide in the same way, at her age, people don’t really believe,” he says another place in Vaida. .

Rather, he says, the two were killed by another person, who is still at large. However, no one can understand the motive for the crime. Both old men were lonely and poorly attached. “You have to be mentally ill to do such a thing. And if he did it with two people, he will do it again,” is convinced the villager, who explains that since the sinister murder, the people of Roşiori do not leave their doors open either. during the day, and children are closely monitored.
Meanwhile, the investigation of the case is in full swing. On Thursday, the team of investigators coordinated by the former head of DNA Oradea, Ciprian Man, now a prosecutor of the Public Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of Bihor, was again in the commune of Roşiori, for hearings, stopping at the Municipality of the commune. “In parallel, the results of the DNA tests ordered on the evidence taken at the crime scene are awaited. We will see later which of the clues is outlined,” said sources of the investigation.
