An Otopeni policeman was found dead Thursday by his colleagues in unexplained conditions.
The man was discovered in a car around 11:50, on DJ 100, in the Tunari pond area, with a gunshot wound to the head.
Ilfov Criminal Investigation Service police officers and forensic scientists rushed to the scene.
The young man, deputy director of the Otopeni Police, left the shift Wednesday night, but did not hand over the gun. A few hours later, by chance, a passerby noticed her body. Prosecutors believe the agent likely ended his days. They are investigating the causes that would have led to this extreme gesture. The policeman was under criminal investigation for taking bribes and was at the disposal of his superiors. The man was married and had a son. He had been psychologically evaluated in February 2019 and passed the test.
“The policeman was hired from an external source in October 2006, initially as an agent in the Pantelimon City Police. From a psychological point of view, the policeman was evaluated on February 14, 2019.”- is also shown in the statement.
Prosecutors have now taken over the case.
