The session of the Chamber of Deputies was interrupted on Monday evening by the president of the session, Lucian Feodorov (AUR), the former dean, just before the new leadership of the legislative forum was elected. He stated that he was tired and the AUR deputies left the meeting.
The session was declared abruptly closed on Monday night, after 11:30 p.m., just before the election of the new president of the Chamber of Deputies was put to the vote. The president of the meeting, Lucian Feodorov (AUR), dean of legal age (78 years), said he was tired, and the AUR parliamentarians left the room, although both the PNL and the PSD had asked to be elected president of the legislative forum.
“If they want to legally appoint their president to the Chamber of Deputies, let them take their secretary, the cars, to do it tomorrow, not today,” said AUR leader George Simion. Asked what he claimed to have stopped the meeting and left the room, he replied: “We invoked the agreement between PNL and PSD, which we found grotesque. We will not participate in this. If the meeting continues, we will be released on bail.”
At this time, the meeting continues for the election of the leadership of the Chamber of Deputies, after the next main dean, Ibram Iusein, representative of the Turkish Democratic Union in Romania, was elected as the new president of the session.
Ludovic Orban and Alfred Simonis (PSD) will run for president of the Chamber of Deputies.
