According to the deputy mayor of the capital, Aurelian Bădulescu, at the local council meeting on August 31, the return from vacation of the current deputy mayor, Elena Petrescu, was discussed, Agerpres reported.

The legal termination on August 19, 2020 of the mandate of the mayor of Sector 3 Bucharest of Robert Sorin Negoiță is observed, considering the admission of his candidacy in the elections of September 27, 2020 for the position of mayor of Sector 3 of another party that the one on whose lists he ran and was elected mayor in the 2016 local elections ”, is shown in the order signed by the prefect of the Capital, Gheorghe Cojanu.

Basically, Negoiță is accused of resigning from the PSD, from whose lists he was elected mayor, and would have become a member of another party. Or, according to the Administrative Code, in this situation he loses his mandate as mayor.

The prefectural order can be challenged within 10 days from today.

Negoiță is infected with COVID-19

Robert Negoiță announced his intention not to run for PSD in local elections. Then came the news of the bands that support him. And last week, Negoiță announced that he was infected with COVID-19.
