Robert Negoiță lost his mandate as mayor of sector 3 in Bucharest, after resigning from the PSD and enrolled in the race for the local elections of September 27 in the lists of the Alliance Pro-Bucharest 2020. The prefect of the Capital signed a relative order to the termination of the rights of Negoiță’s mandate as mayor, because he is part of another political party.

“The legal rescission on August 19, 2020 of the mandate of mayor of Sector 3 Bucharest of Robert Sorin Negoiță is observed, given the admission of his candidacy in the elections of September 27, 2020 for the position of mayor of Sector 3 for a party other than the one on whose lists he ran and was elected mayor in the 2016 local elections ”, is shown in the order signed by the prefect of the Capital, Gheorghe Cojanu.

At the end of July, Robert Negoiță announced that he will stand in the local elections of the Pro Bucharest 2020 Alliance, made up of ProRomania and the Bucharest 2020 Party.

Previously, Negoiță announced his resignation from the PSD, a party that he said “shows that it is a structure too weakened by ticks that parasitize the host organism.”
