Traffic is currently restricted in the Prahova Valley after five cars were involved in an accident in Nistoreşti. According to ISU Prahova, 5 cars were involved in the accident, with 16 occupants, not being victims. Road traffic is difficult in DN1 – Prahova Valley, in sleet and snow conditions and wet road. In the Brașov – West Belt, Comarnic, Sinaia and Busteni areas, columns of cars of several kilometers were formed, in both directions, INFOTRAFIC reports.
According to the Infotrafic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, traffic values started to increase at DN 1 Ploiești – Brașov.
In the uphill direction of DN1 Bucharest-Brasov, the traffic values are as follows:
- Western Belt, Lukoil roundabout, increase in traffic values to Brasov, 700 m column;
- Comarnic – heavy traffic to the mountain area, moving column from km 100 + 500 to km 106 – Vulturul
- Sinaia – column from km 122 to km 126
- It registers heavy traffic values in both directions, with a column on the ascent from km 126 – Sinaia and from the Brasov county limits, on the descent.
The whole area is cloudy, rain in the form of sleet and snow in installments, no deposits, wet road.
Police officers act on the road safety device to streamline traffic within the range of all mountain resorts in the Prahova Valley.
Drivers are advised to adapt their speed to the road conditions, to follow the instructions of the police officers present at the scene to speed up traffic and show preventive behavior in traffic.
