For everyone we know, but especially for us, for the medical staff of the SUUB and, in particular, for the colleagues of the Neurology Clinic, it is very difficult for us to talk about the man, the doctor and professor Ovidiu Alexandru Bajenaru in the past.
It is with great regret that the inevitable happened and Professor Ovidiu Bajenaru is no longer with us, but the spirit of his reign will continue to be present through his professional successors. God rest him in peace! ”, Cătălin Cîrstoiu declared.
Neurologist Ovidiu Băjenaru was 63 years old
The neurologist Ovidiu Băjenaru, 63, had been hospitalized for a week and a half at the Matei Balş Institute in the Capital, with Covid-19.
Born in 1957, Ovidiu Băjenaru graduated from the Faculty of Medicine – UMF “Carol Davila” Bucharest, he became, in 2000, vice dean of the Faculty “Carol Davila”, a position he held until 2004.
According to the CV published on the website umfcd.ro, Ovidiu Băjenaru was, in the period 2008-2011, the head of the Department of Neurology M028 – UMF “Carol Davila” Bucharest – Faculty of Medicine, and since 2011 he was Director of Department 6 – Clinical Neurosciences of the Faculty of Medicine “Carol Davila” of the UMF, reelected in 2015, until 2020.
Since 2016, Ovidiu Băjenaru, doctor of medical sciences, was a corresponding member of the Romanian Academy.
