Environment, Water and Forest Minister Costel Alexe said Monday, during a control carried out in the Ghimeş Făget Forest District, that he wants all those who steal from private or state forests to be answerable to the law.
In the Ghimeş Făget Forest District, after an inspection by the Forest Guard, it was discovered that a quantity of 670 cubic meters of wood was stolen from the fellings, worth 410,000 lei, writes agerpres.ro.

Following control in the Ghimeş Făget Forest District, which manages forests in the territory of Neamţ and Bacău counties, Forest Guard inspectors discovered that three companies illegally exploited the timber from the fellings.

The Minister of the Environment, Water and Forests specified that the Forest Guard inspectors presented three criminal cases to the Prosecutor’s Office on behalf of the respective companies, withdrew their certification certificates and fined them 52,000 lei.
“We will act without compromise, without compromise, and all who are guilty of theft, negligence, support for those who have these crimes in their blood, to pay.
