Before the game, Steaua fans filled the arena with several posters of encouragement for Daniel Oprița’s students. In addition, several messages were shown addressed to Gigi Becali, the financier of FCSB.

Steaua and FCSB 2 may meet at the dam for promotion to League 2
As Series 4 of League 3 has taken place thus far, there is a good chance that Steaua and FCSB II will take the top two spots at the end of the regular season. After the 18 stages, the first two classified in each series will go to the dam. In the first round, the Series 4 champion and vice-champion will face the top two finishers in Series 3, which currently looks as follows:
- 1st place in Series 3 (CS Smoked) vs 2nd place in Series 4 (FCSB II)
- 1st place in Series 4 (Steaua) vs 2nd place in Series 3 (Mostiștea Ulmu)
Subsequently, the winners of these two sets of holds will meet in a second hold. The second round will designate the five teams from League 3 that are promoted in League 2. Taking into account the ranking at the end of the round, in the promotion final they could face, among others, CS Afumați / FCSB II – Steaua / Mostiștea Ulmu.
