4,272 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours, of the 14,588 tests carried out. Another 199 Romanians died after becoming infected with COVID-19. 1,259 patients are hospitalized in Intensive Care.

To date, on December 1, in Romania, 479,634 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed. 360,934 patients were declared cured.

Following tests conducted at the national level, compared to the last report, 4,272 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the municipal and county levels of Bucharest. Below is the table prepared based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting the patients who were already positive, 455 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 11,530 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 30.11.2020 (10:00) – 01.12.2020 (10:00) 199 deaths (130 men and 69 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Sature Surei Suceava , Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 13 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 14 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 51 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 66 deaths in the age group 70 to 79 years and 53 deaths in the category over 80 years.

178 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, 5 deceased patients did not present comorbidities and for 16 deceased patients, no comorbidities have been reported to date.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 13,438. Of these, 1,259 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,122,192 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 14,588 were performed in the last 24 hours, 9,551 based on the definition of the case and medical protocol and 5,037 upon request.

Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 37 tests processed before the last 24 hours and sent until December 1 have been reported.

In Romania, 45,863 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 12,186 people are in institutionalized isolation. Furthermore, 65,772 people are in home quarantine and 63 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,851 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 661 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 30 of this year, 6,653 sanctions for minor offenses, in the amount of 1,175,080 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday, 5 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

„We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions of health protection regulations can be notified. The calls are attended by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects ”, it is specified in the balance sheet.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,914 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the Mar UK, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they have died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
