One in four Romanians tested in the last 24 hours was confirmed with Covid-19

Another 3,350 people have been infected by coronavirus in the last 24 hours, these being the confirmed cases after performing 12,234 tests.

To date, in Romania they have been confirmed 591,294 cases of people infected by the new coronavirus (COVID – 19). 498,777 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 3,350 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.

Until today, 14,394 people diagnosed with SARS – CoV – 2 died

In the last 24 hours, 98 people (58 men and 40 women) died, being patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Timiș, Vaslui and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 30 to 39 years, 5 deaths in the age category 40 to 49 years, 9 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 31 deaths in the age category of age 60 to 69 years, 27 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years and 25 deaths in the category over 80 years.

97 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities, and for 1 deceased patient, no comorbidities were registered.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 11,360. Of these, 1,267 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 4,599,845 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 12,234 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 7,764 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 4,470 upon request.
