One in five Romanians is annoyed by the noise their neighbors make, according to a statistic compiled by Eurostat. Romanians, seventh at the top of Europe, are worse off than Hungarians and Bulgarians, but better than Dutch and Germans, Mediafax reports.

In Europe, the most disturbed by neighbors are the Maltese, the Dutch and the Germans.

Adeon is 23 years old and from Bucharest. Because you work in a cafe, you need to go to work early and you need to rest. In the last month, she was unable to enjoy much peace because of the neighbors who renovated her apartment.

He is not the only one who complains about the noise that the neighbors make.

“The exercise is the order of the day. We have intervals in which there is peace, otherwise …”, says Ioana, 27, from the Capital.

But the most disturbed by the noise of the neighbors are the inhabitants of Malta, Holland and Germany with percentages close to 30%. Complaints come mainly from those who live alone. 25% of citizens have problems with neighbors, compared to 10% of those who live in rural areas.

The population most affected by noisy neighbors is the following: Malta: 28.3%, Netherlands: 26.6%, Germany: 26.1%, Portugal: 22.7%, Luxembourg: 20.2%, Denmark: 20 %, Romania. – 18%, Hungary – 9.7% and Bulgaria – 8.9%.
