Barcelona has officially announced that it has reached an agreement for the transfer of Ivan Rakitic (32 years old).
Barcelona issued a statement announcing that Rakitic was sold to Sevilla, a club from which the Catalans bought him 6 years ago.
Sevilla will pay 1.5 million euros in exchange for the Croatian, plus another 9 million through bonuses.
The Catalans have prepared a farewell ceremony and a press conference, which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2 at 12:00.
Rakitic collected 310 games with the Barcelona shirt, for which he managed to score 35 goals and provide 42 decisive passes. The Croatian won four titles in La Liga, Champions League, four Cups and three Spanish Super Cups at the Camp Nou.
