Transport Minister Lucian Bode declared on Saturday that currently none of the 10 sections of the Transilvania Highway that are yet to be executed are blocked, in completion, in design or execution.
“In September, we will put 25 kilometers of the Transilvania Highway into traffic. After yesterday we put the 5.3 kilometers of the highway between Biharia and Borş into traffic, (…) in a few days we will put the 18 kilometers of the highway into traffic of Transylvania, between Iernut and Cheţani.
In this point, 54 kilometers of road are under construction.
I am referring to the Târgu Mureş – Ungheni, Cheţani – Câmpia Turzii and Chiribiş – Biharia sections.
We have also signed design and execution contracts for the sections Zimbor – Poarta Sălajului and today Nuşfalău – Suplacu de Barcău, for a total of 26 kilometers.
Yesterday, CNAIR announced the winner of the tender for the execution of the 30 kilometers of road between Nădăşelu and Zimbor. I am referring to the Romanian company UMB from Bacău. The last two sections of the Transilvania Highway, of the 10 (…), are in preparation for the launch of the contracting procedure for the design and execution. I am referring to the section Poarta Sălajului – Zalău – Nuşfalău, 41 kilometers, including the tunnel in Meseş, with a deadline for the submission of offers, with prequalification, November 16, 2020.
The Suplacul section of Barcău – Chiribiş is also auctioned, and for the 26 kilometers we are waiting for the presentation of bids on November 23 this year ”, Lucian Bode quoted on Saturday, quoted by Agerpres.
The Minister of Transport specified that in the 10 months of the liberal government, 25 kilometers of road were put into circulation, 54 kilometers are being worked, 26 kilometers with signed design and execution contracts, 30 kilometers in the appeal stage and 67 kilometers in the procedure of public procurement.
“It just came to our knowledge then no section of the Transylvania Highway is blocked. Therefore, all the conditions are met for next year, between Nădăşelu and Biharia, to work effectively on approximately 114 kilometers of road, of which 42 kilometers in Sălaj county ”, Lucian Bode also pointed out.
