Since the entry into force of Military Ordinance no. 2 and so far, 2,303 people who have not observed the period of self-isolation have been placed in institutionalized quarantine. In addition, 233 people in quarantine left the place where they were located, for which the quarantine measure was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

The total number of confirmed cases in Romania

To date, on May 14, in Romania, 16,247 cases of people infected with the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the confirmed positive people, 9,053 were declared cured and discharged.

The number of people healed, highlighted above, is due to the latest updates recorded in Suceava County.

At the same time, so far, 1046 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița – Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călram and Maure. died.

Number of new cases reported

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 245 new cases of disease have been registered.

At the moment, 225 patients are hospitalized in ATI.

In the Romanian territory, there are 14,066 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 18,118 people are in solitary confinement at home and under medical supervision.

To date, 286,217 tests have been processed nationwide.

In the last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, 468 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1,932 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), specially opened to inform citizens.

Through the empowered structures of the M.A.I. So far 572 criminal cases have been drafted, under the aspect of committing the crime of frustrating the fight against diseases, an act provided for and punished by art. 352 par. 1 Penal Code.

Police and gendarmes found, in the last 24 hours, 112 people who did not comply with the measure on traffic restrictions. These people were fined 46,000 lei.

The situation of Romanians in the diaspora.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, it was confirmed that 2,880 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,698 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 29 in France, 449 in Germany, 83 in the United Kingdom, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA. USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 102 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 33 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States and one in Brazil, died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 21 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 8 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
