When asked if he supported the idea of a “vaccination passport,” the prime minister said authorities should have more information before making a decision. “It is difficult to have a discussion like this when at least 70 percent of the population has not been vaccinated,” explained the prime minister. “After the pandemic passes, no one will discuss this vaccination passport. It is a discussion right now. It is premature. It makes no sense to speak until we have 70 percent of the people vaccinated,” the president stressed.
He also said that with regard to foreign tourists who would like to come to Romania, “we have clear conditions: for those who are vaccinated, ten days after retirement, there are already transparent conditions, we don’t have to create a passport.
