Octavian Popescu continues to amaze League 1 with his evolutions.
FCSB beat Poli Iasi 3-1 on Saturday night, and Octavian Popescu scored his first goal in League 1. The 18-year-old began his recital in the 25th minute when he decisively passed captain Tanase, who managed to open marker. In the 90th minute, the former Craiova player broke the ice and scored FCSB’s third goal in the victory with Poli Iasi, following a pass from Olimpiu Morutan.
After Man’s departure for Parma, FCSB lost an essential player, but MM Stoica believes that Popescu will be able to replace him. The team official wrote on Instagram that both Man and Popescu scored for FCSB, at the age of 18, against Poli Iasi.
Following this victory, FCSB is the only leader in League 1 with 45 points, 4 points behind CFR’s second place.
