„The Mayor General of the capital, Nicuşor Dan, had today (Tuesday – no) a working meeting with the Director General of the Bucharest Local Police, in order to speed up the activity of this institution subordinate to the General City Council. During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of the support that the Bucharest City Council provides to the Environmental Guard in the fight against environmental violations in the Capital. To this end, 20 local police officers will soon begin to participate in field actions, in joint patrols with the personnel of the Environmental Guard, in order to detect and punish the violation of the legislation in this field ”, announces the General City Council of the Capital .

PMB affirms that this contribution of the local administration of Bucharest to the activities of the Environmental Guard was agreed in the meeting that Mayor Nicuşor Dan held with the Minister of Environment, two weeks ago.

According to the cited source, the mayor general ordered the City Council’s security personnel to be reduced from 27 to 10 people. At the same time, he renounced the security provided by the floor where the mayor’s office is located, including security in front of his office, for which five local police officers were assigned daily, PMB also announces.
