Tourists can insure against Covid-19 next year’s holidays on the Romanian coast. They will get their money back if they have to cancel their stay in case they get sick or have to be quarantined, Mediafax reports.
Tourists staying on the coast can be insured against Covid-19 both in case of illness and if a family member is suspected of having coronavirus and must be quarantined.
If the tourist falls ill with Covid-19 during the trip, they will benefit from complete medical protection, according to a new type of insurance introduced in the Litoralulromanesc.ro vacation packages.

“This year I discovered that some Romanians have given up on booking stays at sea for fear that in the unfortunate event that a family member becomes infected with Covid-19, they will have to give up their holidays and lose money. For this reason and, also, because we do not want some tourists to leave the reservation for next summer vacations at the last minute and thus lose the Early Booking discounts, for the first time we bring insurance against Covid-19 for national tourism, because people who will have to give up vacations due to the pandemic will be able to recover the advances paid, ”said Ionuț Nedea, general manager of Litoralulromanesc.ro.
If during the trip the tourist is informed that their spouse or a first-degree relative has become ill and their life is in danger as a result of the Covid-19 infection, the insurer will support them to return home. and will reimburse you for the expenses of this trip.
In practically all these situations, the tourist can cancel their stay and recover the money paid as an advance. The value of the insurance depends on the value of the stay, but does not exceed a small percentage of the total cost of the stay. In this way, tourists can benefit from discounts of up to 50% by booking Early Booking ”, added Ionuț Nedea.
In order to benefit from the insurance, the tourist must buy the package at least 30 days before going on vacation.
