Time stood still today when it emerged that former police officer and county councilor Adrian Apostol had passed away. The death of the former chief commissioner allegedly occurred at the “Sfântul Pantelimon” County Emergency Hospital in Focșani, a medical unit where he was hospitalized for a long time, announces monitoruldevrancea.ro.
Almost no man has met Colonel (r) Adrian Apostol and he is not crying now that he has left us too soon. The officer had retired in 2017 from the position of head of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Municipal Police of Focsani, a structure he directed for many years and which he called “Queen of the Police.”
Adrian Apostol was one of the most respected officers of the Vrancea police, with years of missions abroad, being congratulated by several presidents of the country and decorated by the UN and the EU.
On the facebook page of the Vrancea City Council a message of consolation was sent: “The Vrancea City Council announces with regret the passing of the councilman elected to the PNL-USR-PLUS Alliance list, Adrian Apostol, to the eternal. Vrancea police mourn the loss of a hopeful partner
Police officer (d.) Apostol Adrian, who for 27 years served with loyalty, devotion, professionalism and honor to the Romanian Police, a strong man, a good strategist, with an iron will, a noble character and a chosen education, died at the Focșani County Hospital, after a fierce and unfair fight for several weeks with an invisible enemy.
The reserve officer was in the last years of activity the head of the Criminal Investigation Office within the Focșani Police until 2017, when he finished a career crowned with outstanding results, recognized both nationally and internationally, after the 5 missions . under the auspices of the UN, to restore peace, order and public safety in war-torn areas, where his professionalism was noted and appreciated, he was appointed to lead contingents and co-opted into the EU Corps of Experts. Today our colleague went on his last mission, the hardest for all of us, those of us left behind.
