Norway, where a terrible landslide occurred a few days ago, as a result of which there are still missing people, is currently threatened by extreme weather events. In the dead of winter, the authorities in this northern country have issued a yellow fire code for areas where there is no snow and where vegetation can easily burn. At the same time, flood alerts have been issued in other areas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs Romanian citizens who are in transit or intend to travel to the Kingdom of Norway that, according to data transmitted by the Norwegian authorities, until 3 January, at 1:00 p.m., a local fire code yellow for snow-free areas in the area Tromso-Nordland. As vegetation can easily burn, fires could affect large areas of forest, warns the Ministry of Foreign Relations. For Monday, positive temperatures of 4 degrees are forecast in the Tromso region.

The Norwegian authorities also announced flood codes, even in the capital area. For the Akerselva River a yellow code is in force in the Oslo area, while Orange code it was issued for the Vansjo / Mossevassdraget rivers in the Viken area and for Halden in the Halden region.
