The “Tricolors” are approaching step by step another European Under-21 Championship, that of 2021, organized in Hungary and Slovenia. Right now, the team led by Adrian Mutu is in second place in preliminary group 8, just 3 points behind the leaders of Denmark U21, who drew at home with Ukraine, 1-1.
In the final tournament, the first place of each group and the best 5 teams of the second place are classified. Romania U21 will play on Tuesday 8 September in Malta against the weakest team in the group.
