Dr Monica Pop has criticized the way the government coordinates the vaccination information campaign, which she described as “mindless theater.”
“It just came to our knowledge then. What are Romanians interested in how the vaccine gets to the country? It’s a senseless theater. (…) I don’t know if it’s normal for decision makers to want that. I think it’s too much. People who want to be vaccinated can do so without any problem, ”said Monica Pop, on România TV.

“The vaccine does not stop the disease. Whoever says that the pandemic stops because they give you the vaccine is not true. With a well-proven vaccine and I know it, whoever contracts the disease does an easy way,” said Dr. Pop.
The doctor criticized medical personnel who claimed in public space that the COVID vaccine is safe.
“First of all, understand that there is no safe word in medicine. When someone says it is something, it is safe, it is a medicine, it is a medical act, it is an injection, it is not right. You can say that it is very effective.
He may say that efficiency is up to a point, but by no means is it safe.
The moment you say it’s not like that, people who know it’s not like that and that there’s no security already start to lose credibility. I would like to suggest to my colleagues who are talking about this that they say that the efficiency is very good, but not that it is safe. Nothing is safe, ”explained Dr. Pop.
Do you still send COVID-19 after vaccination?
“Of course. It is very important that those with the disease take an easy way because, I said from the beginning, I would have approached the problem in a completely different way,” explained Dr. Monica Pop.
The doctor recalled that the COVID-19 pandemic is one of very low mortality.
“It is a pandemic with very low mortality. Mortality is around 1 percent. Very little is said about this. Of every 100 patients, 85 are cured. All 15 make very serious forms or die. When someone does not protect themselves and you get sick, you have no way of knowing what category you are in, “said Dr. Pop.
“The vaccine for any disease, measles. If you have contact with someone with measles, you contract the disease, but it is attenuated. Who says that if you get vaccinated you do not contract the disease, lies. It is not true. So many things are hidden and said incorrectly.
