AUR Senator Diana Șoșoacă must wear a mask in Parliament, because the certificate she presented and for which she was exempt from wearing the mask was issued by the family doctor and not by the Senate occupational medicine doctor, she told Digi24 . Iulia Scântei (PNL), president of the Senate validation commission. It is the response received from DSP, following the request sent by the Senate.

“I asked him to wear a mask, which he complied with and, during the meeting, until the answer came, he wore a protective mask. He also used it later, because the answer that I personally gave him, received from DSP Bucharest, certifies that the issuer is not the legal issuer of said certificate, regarding the effect of the mask exemption, since the family doctor does not He is the right one. competent to exempt a person, on the basis of the certificate, from the use of a mask, but the occupational medicine doctor within the Senate.

This is the doctor who, based on the recommendations of the specialist doctor, will determine if the diagnosis established by the family doctor, coded numerically, corresponds to the category of diseases that would affect the oxygenation capacity, ”said Scântei from Digi24.

“We are not trying to verify in terms of authenticity, but simply to see if this certificate produces legal effects regarding the exemption from his reign from wearing the mask in the Senate. It does not produce legal effects, you are obliged to go to the occupational medicine doctor within the Senate, who is the only competent one. Until this medical approval is obtained, the medical certificate cannot be used to participate without a protective mask in the plenary rooms or in the committee rooms, ”he added.

The senator said she did not notify the police about the fact that Diana Șoșoacă was not wearing a mask, but that “an ex officio service can be ordered. I believe that the colleagues of the General Secretariat have the capacity to notify in case of lack of notification ex officio ”.

Sparks also said that several senators have complained, because they suffer from chronic illnesses and feel in danger when other colleagues do not wear a mask.

Diana Șoșoacă sat in the plenary hall without wearing a mask. At the time of taking the oath, he said that “the obligation to wear a mask violates the Romanian Constitution.”
