After eight years in prison, the judges sentenced him to eight years in prison for the crime of forming an organized criminal group, deception with particularly serious consequences, on a continuous basis, favoring the offender and complicity in the crime of money laundering, write Antena 3.
Eight years on trial, eight years in prison
The file in which the former Galaţi PDL deputy, Mihail Boldea, is involved, dates from 2012. The case began with a series of searches that prosecutors made in various directions. In those places, they discovered extremely large sums of money and real estate documents, which were suspected of having been fraudulently obtained by members of a criminal group.

Prosecutors claim that Mihail Boldea was the one who created this criminal group, specialized in real estate scams. With the help of various officials and lawyers, the members of the group discovered land and real estate owned by the State or private individuals and, through legal tricks, managed to appropriate them.
The judges of the Supreme Court dismissed, “as unfounded, the appeals declared by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Superior Court of Cassation and Justice – Directorate of Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism – Iasi Territorial Service and the accused Boldea Mihail, Boza Bogdan Alexandru, Petrea Elena, Tănase Petrică, Pohrib Eduard, Caranfil Costică, Vrânceanu Arthemis Cecilia and Vrânceanu Tudorel, as well as the civil parties Toniţă Valentin Gelu and the Real Estate Cadastre and Advertising Office Galaţi ”, is displayed on the portal of the Supreme Court.

After the trial, the defendants will have to compensate several people, one of them with almost 220,000 euros.
