Bucharest halved the number of illnesses compared to the previous day: on Friday it reported 537 new cases of coronavirus, compared to 1,096 reported on Thursday. There are also counties that have registered about 10 new cases.

Apart from Bucharest, the counties with the most new confirmed cases are Bucharest Prahova – 196, Timiş – 180, Ilfov – 166, according to data reported by the Strategic Communication Group.

The fewest cases were recorded in Harghita and Sălaj counties, 11 each, and Covasna, 8 cases.

Regarding the infection rate per thousand inhabitants, Ilfov remains the only county with an index above 6. Brașov, Bucharest, Cluj, Constanța and Timiș are also in the “red” zone, with a rate above 3.

The number of “green” counties, with an infection rate per thousand inhabitants of less than 1.5, increased to 11.

A total of 3,812 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been reported in the last 24 hours, after 16,862 tests throughout the country.
