The Minister of the Interior, Marcel Vela, signed on Wednesday, May 13, Military Ordinance no. 12/2020. The new ordinance stipulates the departure of the quarantine of the municipality of Suceava and neighboring towns. Text of the ordinance:

MILITARY ORDINANCE No. 12 din 13.05.2020 on measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19

Considering the provisions of art. 24 of Government Emergency Ordinance no. 1/1999 on the state of siege and the state of emergency, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 22 of January 21, 1999, approved with amendments and terminations by Law no. 453/2004, with subsequent modifications and terminations, of art. 2 and art. 3 stops. (3) of Decree no. 240/2020 on the extension of the state of emergency in the Romanian territory,

taking into account the evaluation carried out by the National Committee for Special Situations of Emergency, approved by Decision no. 23 of 13.05.2020,

for the application of the provisions of point 1 of annex no. 2 of Decree no. 240/2020, in accordance with art. 20 lit. n) of the government emergency ordinance no. 1/1999, approved with modifications and terminations by Law no. 453/2004, as amended and subsequently supplemented,

Minister of the Interior issues the following

Military ordinance

Art.1 – (1) The quarantine measure is carried out in the municipality of Suceava and in the neighboring area formed by the following eight communes: Adâncata, Salcea, Ipotești, Bosanci, Moara, Șcheia, Pătrăuți and Mitocu Dragomirnei.

(2) The measure will apply from the date of publication of this military ordinance in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I.

Art.2 – (1) This military ordinance is published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I.

(2) Audiovisual media service providers have an obligation to inform the public, through regularly transmitted messages, about the content of this military ordinance.
