Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, confirmed with Covid-19, “reacts well to treatments,” his doctor announced on Sunday, writes Le Figaro, according to Mediafax. However, the timing is “delicate”, because Berlusconi is considered a “fragile person”, given his medical history: in 2016, the former Italian prime minister underwent open heart surgery.
“The patient is calm and reacts well to treatments,” said Professor Alberto Zangrillo, his doctor at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan. “The situation is under control,” he added, adding: “The phase is delicate. (…) I show a cautious optimism, which I reiterate, because Mr. Berlusconi falls into the category of more fragile people.”
Silvio Berlusconi, who will turn 84 in three weeks, announced Wednesday night that he tested positive for Covid-19. Two of his children, Barbara, 36, and Luigi, 31, are in the same situation, as well as his new girlfriend, Marta Fascina.
