The city of Sibiu has exceeded the rate of 11 infections per thousand inhabitants and the situation is truly tragic. The health system is outdated, doctors who have Covid-19, but are asymptomatic, have been called to work, and the city morgue claims that it can no longer cope.

Present during TVR1’s “Romania9” program, USR leader Dan Barna, who is from Sibiu, explained that there is a lack of decision-making at the local level.
When asked directly by the moderator who locals fear, Dan Barna avoided an answer, but ultimately nominated. “They are afraid of the central leadership of the country.” In the central leadership of the country, from Sibiu, are President Klaus Iohannis and Deputy Prime Minister Raluca Turcan.
Dan Barna specified that the quarantine had been required in Sibiu for a few days, but local authorities were still waiting for the “light” from Bucharest.
