The Chief Executive added that one of the arguments of the notification shows that a law cannot modify a government decision that refers to the state of alert.
“Certainly, any reopening of the markets will only be possible with strict compliance with health protection regulations,” Ludovic Orban told a press conference on Monday.
When asked if President Klaus Iohannis said that he had not received the law when it was promulgated, the prime minister replied: A law regulating market activity cannot modify a government decision related to alertness and there are other grounds of unconstitutionality. However, Orban hinted that the government is considering a reopening of markets, but with very strict rules. “I tell you that we are analyzing now, but do not make it news yet, we are analyzing the possibility of reopening markets that operate in closed spaces. President Klaus Iohannis said on Monday, at the end of his visit to the University Emergency Hospital in the capital, if he will enact the law that provides for the reopening of the markets, that the regulatory act has not yet reached him.
