The Capital Police filed a complaint for the crime of incitement to hatred or discrimination, as a result of a publication on a social network, in which a man threatened the Minister of the Interior, Marcel Vela. The author of the shoot is Viorel Gongoi, 69, who, according to Hotnews.ro, is known as the son of Mother Omida and representative of the Gypsy Staff.

According to the official notification, “on 08/24/2020 a video session was launched in the virtual space in real time, during which a man frequently uses expressions and opinions that can be constituted as acts of incitement to discrimination against certain social and professional categories, the status (state – no.) and its institutions, but also the Romanian people. The 69-year-old man, identified, was found and brought in for questioning. Investigations continue to be carried out by the Criminal Investigation Service of the Capital Police, under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Court of First Instance, in the aspect of committing the crime of incitement to hatred or discrimination ”.

In the recording to which the police officers refer, Viorel Gongoi uses trivial words to address Minister Marcel Vela and speaks of police officers who “sell for 200 euros.” After this recording, which he later erased, Viorel Gongoi returned on Friday, before being arrested by the police, with another video, in which he qualified the statements made a few days earlier. It motivates his gesture of attacking the Police because he considers her guilty of arresting one of his boys, who later died in prison.
