The number of participants has been sized to comply with the measures imposed by the pandemic, and PMP delegates from across the country and the diaspora will vote electronically.
Motions will be presented at the PMP Congress, the first vice president of the Popular Movement Party, Cristian Diaconescu, who announced his intention to run with a team.
The PMP was unable to enter Parliament, in last year’s parliamentary elections it did not meet the 5% electoral threshold. In the Chamber of Deputies, the PMP obtained 4.82% of the votes and in the Senate 4.93%.
Immediately after the election, party leader Eugen Tomac resigned from office, announcing that he is assuming the result.
However, PMP continues to work in the local administration, having, after the local elections last year, more than 2,000 local councilors, more than 70 councilors and general councilors of the Capital and 49 mayors.
