The president of PNL Bucharest, Violeta Alexandru, wrote a message on Facebook confirming the information published by Digi24.ro according to which the mayor general of the Capital, Nicușor Dan, was pressured by PNL councilors to give up the suspension of Urban Plans in five sectors. He was forced to accept the option of suspension for a period of only 3 months, because the PNL, the allied party, does not support the project and would not have the necessary votes to validate the project at the CGMB meeting to be held on Friday. .

“The NLP councilors will vote on the draft General Council Decisions initiated by Mayor Dan to suspend the PUZs. A 3-month suspension, during which the problems will be solved. The suspension of the 5 sector PUZs and leave Bucharest without no regulation in terms of urban planning, FOR A PERIOD OF 2 YEARS, as proposed by the Mayor General of the Capital, Mr. Nicușor Dan, for the General Council meeting tomorrow, means a lot. The Mayor General understood our pertinent arguments. This decision would mean blocking any development projects in Bucharest, including those that comply with all applicable rules. Viable projects in neighboring counties cannot be rejected. I asked the mayor general to reduce the proposed suspension period. From 2 years to 3 months And he agreed “, writes Violeta Alexandru.

The leader of the PNL Bucharest affirms that in the three months, the liberals wait from the mayor general the proposals to correct the PUZ. Although she writes that the Urban Plans in the five sectors were made with the complicity of some “real estate sharks” and speaks of “abuses in green spaces”, Violeta Alexandru assures that “3 months of suspension of the current PUZs are enough”.

“They cannot be blocked because all Bucharest employers are supposed to break the rules and they are not. Through the investments they make the right ones, revenue is collected from the Bucharest budget, beyond the salaries they pay for their employees. . (…) 3 months of suspension of the current CPUs is enough. While we clean, we must also give this city a correct development perspective “, also writes Violeta Alexandru.

Nicușor Dan, pressured by PNL to give up the suspension of the PUZ for two years

Digi24.ro wrote this Thursday about the pressure from the Liberals for the Mayor General of the Capital to abandon the suspension of the PUZ for a period of two years.

The Bucharest Liberals called a meeting on Wednesday evening to discuss Nicușor Dan’s bill and make a decision on the vote that the party councilors will cast at Friday’s meeting.

Sources who participated in the meeting told Digi24.ro that the Liberals decided to support “a compromise option”, respectively a suspension of the PUZs only for a maximum period of 3 months. According to discussions at the PNL Bucharest management meeting, the Nicușor Dan project would “disrupt the property market” and could lead to lawsuits brought by developers who consider themselves harmed.

Liberal sources assure that the discussions with Nicușor Dan were not without sparks, being also invoked the possibility that some liberal councilors resign from the Council in case the mayor forced the adoption of his project.

Nicușor Dan declared on Digi24 on Wednesday night that Bucharest must respect the General Urban Plan (PUG) of 2000 and build places for life, economic activities, schools, sanitary units and green spaces, for which there are European funds . He also said “block-by-block” development must be stopped.

On Wednesday, after Nicușor Dan announced that he will put the suspension of PUZs in five sectors of the Capital to a vote on Friday at CGMB, the mayor’s statement aroused discontent, both from some mayors in the sector and from real estate developers.
