The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, today signed several decrees in which several ambassadors in the country are revoked. Among those summoned are George Maior, ambassador to the United States and Emil Hurezeanu, ambassador to Germany.
The President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, signed the following decrees on Monday, February 22 of this year:
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Emilian-Horațiu Hurezeanu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Federal Republic of Germany;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. George-Cristian Maior as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania in the United States of America;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Bogdan Mazuru as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Austria;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Vlad Vasiliu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein, with residence in Bern;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Ovidiu Dranga as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Poland;
- Decree on the dismissal of Ms Steluța Arhire as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Slovak Republic;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Liviu-Petru Zăpîrțan as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Holy See and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Adrian-Gabriel Davidoiu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Kingdom of Norway;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Lilian Zamfiroiu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;
- Decree on the dismissal of Ms Manuela Breazu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in Ireland;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Dan Iancu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- Decree on the dismissal of Ms Svetlana-Tatiana Iosiper as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in Japan;
- Decree of dismissal of Mr. Marcel Alexandru as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Republic of Niger, with residence in Algiers;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Nicolae Comănescu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Nicușor-Daniel Tănase as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the State of Kuwait;
- Decree on the dismissal of Ms. Iulia Pataki as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Uganda, the Republic of Burundi, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Rwanda, with residence in Nairobi;
- Decree of dismissal of Mrs. Gentiana Serbu as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Commonwealth of Dominica, Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Community of the Bahamas and Barbados, resident in Havana;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Marius Constantin Borănescu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Botswana, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of Mozambique, the Republic of Zambia, the Kingdom from Eswatini, Republic of Seychelles, Republic of Madagascar Mauritius, residing in Pretoria;
- Decree of dismissal of Ms. Monica-Mihaela Știrbu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Chile;
- Decree of dismissal of Mr. Ștefan Mera as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Republic of Suriname and the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, residing in Brasilia;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Dan Stoenescu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Tunisia;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Mihai Ciompec as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Korea;
- Decree on the dismissal of Mr. Cezar-Manole Armeanu as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, domiciled in Nur-Sultan.
