Albert Florian Balint, called Bebe Cămătaru, son of the undercover Sile Cămătaru, was extradited from Germany and taken to Romania on Friday night, escorted by the police. He was on the Police list of the most wanted people, being the subject of an arrest warrant for traffic offenses.
“On September 24, 2020, the Slatina Court issued preventive detention order No. 10, for a period of 30 days, for the commission of traffic offenses”, is the statement that appears in the “Most Wanted” section of the site Police of the case of Albert Florian Balint (33 years), alias “Bebe of Cămătaru”.
Details of the circumstances in which Sile Cămătaru’s son was captured in Germany are not yet known.
Sile Cămătaru’s son had several problems with the law in Romania several times.
In December 2019, Albert Balint was arrested in the capital after a manhunt in which law enforcement officers fired many shots. He was driving a car with a foreign registration and did not stop at the signal of Rutieră’s agents.
They were looking for him because he had stabbed a young man in front of a nightclub in Timisoara. However, he was released after a few hours, because his victim withdrew his complaint. The authorities then suspected that the victim may have been threatened or paid to stop the investigation.
A few days after this incident in Bucharest, Bebe Cămătaru He was arrested again, this time by the Olt police in Găneasa. He was driving without a license and had used drugs. It happened in the last days of 2019, and Bebe Cămătaru was arrested in preventive detention. He later challenged the preventive detention measure and the Olt Court decided to try him free.
