Authorities have changed the way patients rescheduled for vaccination are notified of new data assigned to them. In addition to email and SMS, a message was sent via an answering machine. Valeriu Gheorghiță, coordinator of the national vaccination campaign, gave a demonstration on Friday night on Digi24, and presented this message from the answering machine that people rescheduled for vaccination will receive.
It is clearly an inconvenience that we had to generate due to this limited availability of doses and then we discussed with colleagues from STS and tried to find the best way so that at least the person who reprogrammed does not worry about reprogramming, that is, to ensure that the person will remain in the same vaccination center for which they chose or where they found a place available. This is one aspect. You will receive an SMS notification announcing this rescheduling and the date it will be rescheduled. The new receipt with the date of the appointment and the date of withdrawal will be sent to the email address. And more than that we have this answering machine, which calls each rescheduled person and sends them a message, that is, it has been rescheduled”Explained Valeriu Gheorghiță, who reproduced on his mobile phone how this message sounds (see video).
If you miss the call and call back the number from which you received the call, the system identifies it immediately and plays the message.: “Hello, we inform you that you have been rescheduled for vaccination against COVID-19 on … The time and place of vaccination remain unchanged. You can find the rescheduling receipt in the email and in your account on the computing platform. Respect the place, date and time of rescheduling. Thank you”.
All people under 65 years of age, both people with chronic diseases and people belonging to the essential categories, scheduled for the first dose of vaccine between January 30 and February 11, it will be postponed until after February 16, the National Committee for the Coordination of the Vaccination Campaign announced on Friday. The decision is made due to lack of vaccines. Those who have already received the first dose will NOT be delayed in the booster.
It’s about 66,884 people under 65s who will be rescheduled as of February 16.
Let 35,304 people, of the same categories, were postponed to vaccination for ten days. Vaccination of these people was scheduled during the period January 28 – February 11But they have also been rescheduled since Feb. 8, according to an announcement made by authorities on Tuesday.

What about people over 65 who have not been able to program on the platform?
“The way we can open new programming spaces is assured only by opening new vaccination centers,” explained Valeriu Gheorghiță, on Friday, on Digi24, when asked how to program people over 65 who have not yet succeeded. and make an appointment on the platform.
Once we have a schedule for delivery of vaccine doses from Moderna for February – except for the first week in which we already have a confirmation of 42,000 doses – then we will be able to know the availability of doses and take into account the opening of new vaccination centers . Furthermore, we have the authorization obtained today by the AstraZeneca company and the prospect of delivering the vaccine doses after the first week of February, ”said Valeriu Gheorghiță.
He explained that it would be convenient for these new vaccination centers to be “specialized” in vaccines. Modern, Pfizer, respectively AstraZeneca. This would also give a person the opportunity, when programming on the platform, to opt for a certain vaccine. “It’s something that we think about and analyze,” Gheorghiță said.
“Although we do not find the possibility of separating these vaccination centers, in the same vaccination center there must certainly be vaccination offices that ensure vaccination with this type of vaccination and tell you why: because risk of error, having various types of vaccines on hand, is also growing significantly in this regard, Vaccination flows must be separate, though not through different centers, but through different offices within the same center. “explained Valeriu Gheorghiță.
When will vaccination return to normal?
The coordinator of the national vaccination campaign believes that after dated February 16, Romania will enter the vaccination rhythm that was proposed at the beginning, without “such unpleasant situations” to reprogram certain people.
“At this time, I think we will surely have in the next few days confirmations for the delivery schedule from both AstraZeneca and Moderna and then things will be much clearer from this point of view and we will have in perspective the opening of new vaccination centers afterwards. or even since mid-February, “said Valeriu Gheorghiță.
