Gregory Tade (33 years old) played in League 1 for CFR Cluj and FCSB.
The French forward has fond memories of League 1, from the time he played for CFR Cluj.
Tade played for the CFR between 2013 and 2015, and at the end of his last season at Gruia he managed to become the top scorer in League 1.
In July 2015, FCSB bought it from Cluj in exchange for € 500,000, a transfer that turned out to be the worst choice of Tade’s career.
The forward was not satisfied with the way he was treated by Gigi Becali and says he is very sorry for the choice he made then:
“Years spent at CFR contain very positive moments, but also some less positive ones, as is often the case in life. The first year, for example, was difficult. I did not get used to it and I was able to make the most of it, but the second year was fantastic. I had become a family. I remained friends with many players and staff. It was a moment that I cannot forget. The experience was good and full of great personal satisfaction. “said Tade, for Europa Calcio.
Gregory Tade: “I’m very sorry I went to the FCSB! A big mistake!”
The Frenchman says he was not adequately advised in 2015 and made the wrong decision to go to FCSB:
“To tell the truth, I am very sorry, because I was not adequately advised. Looking back with today’s experience, I understand better how football works. I should not have left CFR, we are entering the last contract year and I can say that we made a big mistake. We managed to finish the championship in 3rd place because of the team’s chemistry and the team spirit that encouraged us. “Tade added.
Tade: “Reghecampf knew I was the best, but I didn’t like Gigi Becali!”
The forward says he benefited from the trust of Laurentiu Reghecampf, who took over the FCSB in December 2015, but it was Gigi Becali who did not give him the opportunity to play:
“Another regret, after accepting the transfer, is that I did not have the same support in FCSB as in CFR. Many do not know, but I went to FCSB to play with very high expectations, but the club never gave me the opportunity to prove this.
I hadn’t even done pre-season training with them and my first game was in the Champions League. When Laurentiu Reghecampf arrived, he knew that I was the best striker in the group, but I didn’t like the owner, so they got ahead of us in qualifying and we lost the championship. “Tade added.
Tade retired from soccer in 2019, and currently has a collaboration with a company that offers weight loss products and programs.
“I have always been a physical player and I have always liked taking care of my body. Many people find it difficult to accept and live in harmony with themselves, so I felt the need to do something to help others.
My team has members in 11 countries and many players trust us for their nutrition and they are doing very well. In Cluj, my very good friends Damian Djokovic and Mateo Susic are satisfied customers and that makes me happy. It’s a career change that I love. “Tade added.
